About Kedarkantha

Kedarkantha is the trek most Indian trekkers do first, and for good reason: it delivers a genuine snow summit without technical climbing. The route from Sankri climbs through pine and oak forest, past Juda Ka Talab, to open meadows and then a summit push before dawn.

From the top you get an unbroken view of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch and Black Peak. In deep winter the whole trail is under snow, which is exactly why people come.
