Overview

Saputara is the only hill station in Gujarat, sitting on the Sahyadri range at the edge of the Dang forest. During monsoon the entire plateau is under cloud, the ghat road is lined with waterfalls, and the state runs its Meghmalhar festival.

It is a gentle destination — the walking is easy, the temperatures are pleasant, and the sunset points are genuinely worth the drive. Good for people who want hills without a trek.

By road from Ahmedabad via Surat and Waghai — roughly 400 km, 7 to 8 hours. Many of our Saputara departures also pick up from Vadodara and Surat.

Nearest railway station is Waghai (about 50 km) or Bilimora. Nearest airport is Surat.
