Overview

Phulwari Ki Naal is a wildlife sanctuary in the Kotra region of southern Rajasthan, spread across the Aravalli hills near the Gujarat border. It is one of the least-visited protected areas in the region, which is exactly the appeal — forest trails without crowds, tribal villages that still farm the old way, and viewpoints looking over unbroken hills.

This is a camping trip more than a sightseeing trip. Nights are spent in tents, evenings around a fire.

How to reach

By road from Ahmedabad via Himmatnagar and Kotra — roughly 290 km, 5.5 to 6.5 hours. Departures leave from the GAC office in Navrangpura.

Nearest railway station and airport are both at Udaipur (about 130 km).
